To be able to use WhatsApp automations for ShopPop, you need to get access to the WhatsApp Business API. We can take care of the application process for you. Here’s what you need
What's needed to start the WhatsApp application process?
The application process for getting access to WhatsApp is simple. All you need to do is fill out a form, and we’ll take care of everything for you. Every application is done on a case by case basis, so if you run multiple online stores, you’ll need to apply separately for all of them.
Here’s a quick rundown of the information we require:
Contact and company information
Apart from your name and an email address we can contact you at, we need the following company details:
- Company name
- Company HQ location (full address)
- The industry / vertical your company operates in (eg. ‘ecommerce’)
- Company website
- Company logo (640x640, .png or .jpg)
If you work for an agency that’s applying for one of your clients, make sure you enter the client’s company details.
The company logo you upload will be used as the WhatsApp profile picture, please be aware of this.
Your Facebook Business information
To qualify for WhatsApp access, you need to have a Facebook Business account. For the application process, we need your Facebook Business Manager ID. You can find this ID by following these steps:
- Go to Business settings.
- Click Business info.
- Below Business Manager info, you'll see your ID number.
We also need to know whether your Facebook Business is verified. You can find out how to verify your Facebook Business here.
Lastly, you are required to fill out a form to accept the WhatsApp Client Terms.
Your phone number
We need a phone number to connect to your WhatsApp account. This needs to be a virtual phone number that's only used for the WhatsApp Business API. To make sure this phone number meets all the requirements, we will purchase one for you.
Your ShopPop account details
Eventually, we will need to link your accepted WhatsApp application to your ShopPop account.
In order to do this, we will need to know the email address connected to the Facebook account you logged into ShopPop with.
We’ll also need to know the Facebook Page you connected to ShopPop for which you’d like to use WhatsApp.
